WELCOME TO LETTERS OF THE LAW! HAVE A CLICK AROUND, AND STAY FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIKE.

Volunteer with Letters of the Law

Dear Reader,

After Letters of the Law: An Anthology was published (shameless plug: it’s still available for purchase, and Christmas is coming…), the three of us sat down and had a good long talk about where we see Letters of the Law in the future. We decided: we want to keep it going. We want to keep putting out content that goes deep, and means something to people. And we’re going to need help with that.

We’re looking for:

Editorial volunteers

  • Up to 6 volunteers

  • Commitment: 1 calendar year; open to renewal

  • Role: to source and see through at least four Letters a year (one Letter every quarter). We are looking for volunteers who are open to ghostwriting Letters - we will sponsor a small stipend to treat the contributor to an interview over tea/ coffee.

  • Requirements: law students or graduates preferred; you should be comfortable interviewing people. We may conduct training for ghostwriting if there is demand.

Publicity volunteers

  • Up to 2 volunteers

  • Commitment: 1 calendar year; open to renewal

  • Role: to help run the Letters of the Law Facebook and Instagram pages, including replying messages, generating content and helping to brainstorm ideas for reader engagement.

  • Requirements: no need to be law student or graduate; experience with marketing or graphic design preferred but not necessary.

Applications close on 8th December 2020 and will be considered on a rolling basis. You can apply for both positions; we’re open to people double-hatting as editorial and publicity volunteers.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Love,

Amelia, Gideon, and Grace
