Thank you to everyone who responded to our call for volunteers for our Book Project! It was great to meet with everyone who submitted applications and hear about your personal journey with Letters of the Law, why you are keen to come on board our Book Project, and what you envision the book to look like.
We have put together a core team of volunteers who are taking on the responsibility of overseeing the Book Project – we are very grateful to have all of you come on board!
We are putting out a second call for volunteers to join the core team in gathering content for the book, shaping it for publication and sharing it with the community.
1. Editorial Team
We are looking for volunteers to gather content for our book and shape it for publication.
Responsibilities include:
Reach out to and liaise with contributors to the book (e.g. Letter writers, interviewees)
Conduct interviews with contributors (including drafting interview questions, carrying out the interview and shaping the interview into a suitable piece of content for the book)
Copywriting and editorial work
Experience in copywriting, editorial work and/or conducting interviews is a bonus.
Commitment period: November 2019 to May 2020
2. Marketing Team
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about sharing the book with the community.
Responsibilities include:
Set up and manage social media pages to promote the book
Plan and execute a social media strategy in the lead-up to the book launch
Liaise with book publishers and sponsors (as may be required closer to the book launch)
Experience in social media marketing and/or design is a bonus.
Commitment period: January 2020 to August 2020
3. Videographers
We are looking for videographers to produce video teasers to promote the book.
Responsibilities include:
Work with editorial and marketing teams to conceptualise video content
Storyboard, film and edit 3-5 minute video clips to promote the book (e.g. interview soundbites from Letter writers)
Experience in videography is required.
Commitment period: November 2019 to August 2020
